From The Principal's Desk

The Pennies for Patients will be starting on Monday, 5/10 here at the school.
This particular fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is very close to my heart.  Just three years ago my husband was diagnosed with stage four
lymphoma. Thanks to medical research and the advances it brings (funded in part by this society), my husband recovered.  Please donate your spare change and help to give the same gift to other families.  Thank you so much!

KIDS SAY...

1st Grade:  "I tripped 'cause I was running aforeward her".

Middle School:  "I want to be a teacher and work here.  I really don't want to leave".

"ANNIE"

Music is filling the air with the preparations for the upper grade play "Annie".  The kids are having fun and working hard so be sure to mark your calendars for either May 13th or 14th at 7:00 p.m.  You won't want to miss their terrific rendition of this much loved Broadway musical.

Prop Needed:
The Drama Department is in need of a wheelchair to borrow for the upcoming play "Annie".  If you can help contact Juanita.

It's time for those Yearbook Ads.  Please get them in no later than May 25th.  Advertise your business; place an ad congratulating your child on a great year, or both.  Contact Juanita for information on pricing, sized or with any other questions.

Elana Marquez
won the First Place award for the 4th grade division in the annual SPCA poster contest.  Elana loves art and it shows.

Congratulations Elana!

Have a Happy Mothers Day!

We are pleased that we were able to obtain free Vision and Hearing testing for every student in the school.  If you wish to have your child tested on Thursday, May 13th, please be sure to turn in the permission slip that has been put in your parent box.

Many thanks to those who have turned in their Re-enrollment forms.  We would greatly appreciate getting the rest of them turned in so that we can start planning next year.
